What we do
Dog Home Boarding
Your dog stays in a carefully matched family home, sleeping indoors, following their own routine and getting a proper fuss all day long.

Home boarding is the kindly alternative to kennels. Instead of a concrete run and a rota, your dog joins one of our licensed host families as a temporary member of the household.
We only ever take one family's dogs at a time, so there is no queuing for attention and no unfamiliar pack to navigate. You will get photo updates while you are away, and your dog will come home tired, happy and smelling faintly of someone else's sofa.

From owners using this service

“We couldn't be happier with Louise as our dog walker. Our little spaniel, Bella, can be quite shy, but she warmed up to Louise immediately. She's punctual, friendly, and treats Bella like her own. It gives us real peace of mind knowing she's in such good hands!”

“We have two large bouncy dogs, which can be a bit of a handful. We were slightly worried about using a dog walker, but from the first time our dogs met Steve, we could see they were in very good hands. Steve is reliable, excellent with dogs, and has a sound knowledge of dogs and their behaviours.”

“My two dogs absolutely love Helen! My old girl, Molly, has even started trying to jump up at the door when she arrives — quite a compliment. Helen is unfailingly friendly, professional and my two are loving her walks.”

“I was apprehensive about boarding Nicolas in kennels until two friends recommended Digs for Dogs. Whilst abroad I received lots of pictures and messages showing how happy and well looked after he was. I would never use kennels again — 10 out of 10 for me.”

“A big thank you to Jane, Alice and family for making Olly so welcome. It was the first time our one-year-old puppy had been away from us and we were fretting, but we had regular emails and pictures of him having a great time. I'd 100% recommend the home boarding service in Bury.”

“Maisie, our Boston terrier, is getting on in years and is nearly blind, but she was placed with a suitable family and treated as she is at home. She came back with little sign of stress. The updates while we were away gave us all peace of mind.”
